[TV] Ratings: American Idol Beats The Big Bang Theory In Ratings

But CBS wins the night..
American Idol earned more viewers than The Big Bang Theory last night, but CBS won the night overall.
Idol got 16.6 million in it's first half hour, beating Big Bang, which scored 16 million. However, Big Bang did have a higher rating in the 18-39 adults demographic, a 5.5 compared to Idol's 5.2.
For the night, CBS had a total of 14.3 million viewers and a 8.7/14 household. It was followed by FOX (12.2 million, 7.2/11), ABC (7.3, 4.7/8), NBC (3.9 million, 2.6/4) and The CW (2.4 million, 1.6/2). In the demographic, FOX won the night with a 4.0, followed by CBS (3.6), ABC (2.6), NBC (1.7) and The CW (1.0).

The CW: The Vampire Diaries (2.96 million, 2.0/3)

i cant believe ppl still watch american idol... JENNIFER LOPEZ CANT EVEN SING! every single person who makes it past the first round has better vocals than her.. she'd never sing solo to save her life w/o music, auto tunes nd post processing

I would have been watching Big Bang but I had to play Fallout 3. You know, priorities.
